Look closely to see the 'mail lady' trudging through the snow to deliver the mail |
branches big and small were down everywhere |
gorgeous flower pots in Old Town---now frozen |
the pine trees were gorgeous.... |
Trees with Fall leaves were never meant to bear the weight of heavy snow |
some totally collapsed |
some fell down on houses and cars |
there will be lots of clean-up in the days to come |
Well girls....it's supposed to be 60 F by Saturday.....most of this will have melted.....but the poor trees.....
Stay Warm and Dry and Have a lovely Weekend...

Wow how wonderful to see all the winter scenes. It all seems so strange to me to think it's winter again when it was just winter. I've lived here so long and now it all makes sense. Time never seems to move at all without the sense of changing seasons. Well they vary slightly, don't change. No wonder everyone courts youth with surgeons--they don't believe time is changing outdoors or within. Must be the weather or its absence that causes this phenomenon.
ReplyDeleteWow!! Thanks for the tour around your town! It is unfortunate to see all the damage to the trees, however, everything looks gorgeous! I love the contrast between the snowy white landscape and the bright, blue sky! Thank you for taking photos and sharing them with us!
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs,

Oh, what a wet, heavy snow!!! Hard for me to think that this is your first snow of the season! The pines look gorgeous laden with the fresh white stuff, but I just hate to see the deciduous trees with broken limbs, or worse, broken at the trunk. I am so glad your water and power stayed on, Joann!! I am grateful that you shared the pictures with us all, especially today....wishing you love and many blessings, Sherry xxxx
