Some of the things that are Christmas to me....
Everyone having a stocking filled with fun, silly, and some yummy things |
Having children run around in their jammies.... |
Going to see lots of displays of Christmas trees, lights and decorations.... |
Having adults in comfy clothes (sometimes jammies, too) |
Making a gingerbread house |
Going through Susan Branch's cookbooks for just the right recipe |
Making cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning |
Bringing in pinecones |
Falling in love with a treasured gift from a dear friend |
Getting the guest room ready for holiday guests...a cozy bed is what they'll need |
Watching children visiting Santa Claus |
These are just a few of my favorite things................... What are yours?
Dearest Joann,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely, festive post! I enjoyed learning some of your favorite things about Christmas. One of my favorite things about Christmas is spending the holidays together with my girls and husband at home. Those two weeks are precious to me and I look forward to them every year. I can't believe the holidays are almost here!! xoxo
I loved all of your images, they have truly put me in a festive spirit, if I was a guest and got to be in that bed, I would surely be cozy! Pajamas and twinkle lights and cinnamon rolls! What could be better!!! xx
ReplyDeleteLoved your post and please forgive me for not stopping by earlier...Life interrupts... I can just picture you all having so much fun and I am sooo glad you can all be together! Jammies, a fire, fun stockstuffers and baked goodies...doesn't get much better!! Enjoy the family, the season, think good thoughts for 2013 and I wish you all peace and good health!!! Take care of that foot! Wish much love and lots of hugs, Sherry xoxo
ReplyDeleteAll those things mean Christmas to me too. I would add candles in the windows, Christmas CDs playing, fresh greenery everywhere, the smell of hot spiced apple cider, and Christmas Eve mass.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful New year!
Thank you so much; YOU always do such a beautiful job of capturing gorgeous New England on your blog... xo
